Here's the answer to the rising gas prices - a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Turbo Diesel with the 5 Speed Manual Transmission that gets up to 50 mpg! The car is unbelievable when it comes to fuel economy thanks to the Diesel motor along with the 5 speed tranny. The car starts right up, the engine sounds good, with the 144k miles this motor hasn't even broken in yet as their known to last forever. The 5 speed manual clutch shifts great and the clutch itself feels good. Front tires are very good with plenty of tread left, the rear ones are in OK shape. The car has sun-roof, ski-racks, power windows, doors, locks. The arm-rest cover is missing. There is a dent on the fender, and some scratches/dings here and there.
