Vehicle Detail

This is a nearly completed project. No rust. It is a muti-fuel vehicle. This is the 4th waste oil conversion that I have done. It has fully heated 2 tank system. Motor and transmission had complete rebuilds 10,000 miles ago.(see photos) I have recites too. I have cruised at 75 mph for many miles due to the tall gear ratio box. (the motor turns much slower then the original gear box.) 30 mph. With full tanks this has a cruising distance of over 1000 miles. I'm selling this van because of a demanding new job, and have to limit my projects. I put the new head on it this fall. There was a slight coolant leak and I haven't had a chance to get back to it. So it isn't currently running. These campers were only imported to this country for one year. The the parts are easily available because they shared parts with many other models. Here is a list of what has been done in the last 2 years. Rebuilt motor 1.6 liter turbo diesel with intercooler.Blue printed and ported (replaces normally aspirated diesel motor.)Rebuilt transmission. All bearings, sincros, seals, and gaskets have been replaced.Rebuilt turbo charger.Custom Stainless turbo heat shield.modern coolant overflow tank, and radiator cap.New clutch, piolt and throw out bearings.New Eibach springs, KYB gas filled shocks.New brakes. shoes, pads, rotors, and drums, calipers rebuilt.New clutch master.New aluminum radiator.Full African lights, and grill.Reupholstered rear seat, Late model Wolfsburg edition front buckets, and jump seat.Painted 3 years ago.All 4 new VW mud flaps.New Gauges , Oil pressure, exhaust pyrometer, Turbo boost.Coolant heated waste oil tank, control valves, heated waste oil filter, plumbing and electrical wiring (lots of work!)New bumpers and bumper ends.New ports on access doors.Tow hitch.Snap in rear bug screensnap in Surround windshield, and front window curtains.Much more including boxes of sparesAll hardware for lights and external fittings replaced with Stainless steel. Also comes with much desired and hard to come by plastic coolant hoses that run from front to rear. Work that needs to be done. I put the new head on it this fall. There was a slight coolant leak and I haven't had a chance to get back to it.A new hydraulic cam follower cylinder head was just installed last fall. and I haven't fired it up yet. Some of the interior panels have been removed to be refinished.a few hoses and wires for boost gauge need to be hooked up.Very small amount of touch to paintThe tent has a small tear. Please feel free to ask questions. Driven many miles in Mercedes, and VWs running waste oil, and will answer questions about that as well. If I think of more I will add it below. This is a great deal the new parts alone would cost more then the starting bid, never mind the time!
