Vehicle Detail

1969 Camaro - This sweetie was bought from East Bay Chevrolet in Albany, California in 1969 by my mom. She drove it for 65,000 miles and then gave her to me. I put the remaining 32,000+ miles on her. She is all original, with the exception of the power disc brake setup i put on her. Brakes are virtually new. The car has spent its whole life garaged, except when being driven or parked at work. She has spent the last 15 years mostIy parked and not used much. I have driven her occassionally and started her regularly. She is the 69 dark metallic green with white hockey stick race stripe down both sides. The roof is covered in a green vinyl top (yuk) and the interior is the dark green. Has the front buckets with the console. The dash is not original. I pulled the original dash out and put another in to cut it for a stereo (which has died). The original dash and AM radio comes with the car. She rides on rally rims and the Firestones tires are like new. The interior is as follows: headliner looks perfect; seats look perfect; the rugs don't have any holes but its kinda bunched up on the passenger side front. The rug over the driveshaft hump has been torn up a little but a neighborhood cat that got in the car for a minute. The top of the back seats have been covered since new with a piece of carpet, so they aren't rotten. The door panels are nice. There is a small rip on the back edge of the passenger door panel, at the top rear edge, where it meets the pillar. The drive-train is all original and stock: 307 motor with 2 barrel rochester carb; 350 turbo-hydromatic 3speed auto trans; rear axle is 10 bolt and stock. Gearing is setup nice for the motor/trans combo and this baby can step out. The girl was pampered by my mom. I drove her, and while i didn't pamper her, i never abused her. She is currently non-op'ed but this is a driver. She needs nothing to take her and go. The body: complete and unmolested, with the exception of a bolt-on front spoiler. The body has some dings and dents, but nothing major. There is one spot behind the driver's door where it apparently was bondo'ed and the bondo popped off. At the bottom of the rear window, under the vinyl roof, it feels like there is some rust. The rest of the car is straight with no problems or rust through. She isn't concours perfect, but she is all original and hasn't had the neighborhood want-a-be mechanic tearing things up. I started to sell her many times over the last 15 years, because she just sits most of the time. She needs a new lease on life, that i can't offer. If you're looking for a turn-key cruiser, or a first classic car for your kid or honey, this would do it with style. I also will include the original (expired) warranty and owner protection plan paperwork with the metal warranty code card. I have the original bill of sale too, if i can locate it. Thanks for looking. Here are the inspection plate numbers: ST 69 12437 NOR104177 BDY, TR 723 57 S PNT, 08C X11
