This is a rare truck: the FIRST year Chevrolet built 4x4's from the factory! In the first half of the year and before, Chevy worked with Napco to sell 4x4 conversion kits for Chevy trucks. In the second half of 1957, Chevy started installing these upgrades at the factory and selling them at the dealerships as 4x4 trucks. I have such a truck and am selling it. It still has the original Napco transfer case and front end. It is in pretty good shape and runs great - it's the stopping that's a problem (it needs a new master brake cylinder). The only opportunities to show some TLC to this truck are the seat needs reupholstering and the body could use some paint. I recently got new tags (August). The original 235 CID inline-6 engine died a few years back so I built up a 350 CID small block V8. The rear end also seized up so I changed the old Chevy 10-bolt for a Ford 9" rear.
