1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk What you're looking at is my 1959 pale yellow Silver Hawk with blue interior. It has the 259 V8 with a powerglide transmission. Everything seems to be original and it would appear as though the engine has been rebuilt at some point. It does not smoke and has good oil pressure for a motor with 77,630 miles. Somebody has recovered the seats which are very nice. However, the door panels could use some sprucing up. The gauges all work along with headlights, signals, etc. I just replaced the exhaust system and the master cylinder. The chrome and stainless are in very good condition. The underside as you can see from the pictures has typical surface rust issues. The forward crossmember should probably be repaired or replaced. It would appear that it filled with road debris which caused it to rust. There are a few spots on the body where it has minimal rust. However, the overall condition of the car is very good.
