IT IS REALLY ONE OF THE NICEST I'VE HAD. I'M DOING THIS DESCRIPTION A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY FROM USUAL WHICH WILL EXPLAIN. PLEASE DO READ IT ALL BEFORE DECIDING. THIS BIKE RUNS AS SMOOTH AND QUIET AS ANY I'VE HAD, SHIFTS PERFECTLY WITH NO GRIND, LOOKS BETTER THAN NEW WITH "MILE DEEP" CLEAR COAT (PHOTOS ARE BASIC WITH NO EDITING) AND EXCELLENT SEAT AND PLASTIC, AND HAS ACCELERATION AS GOOD AS IT GETS WITH A "TRIGGER" WHEEL. THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS AN AIR FORCE AIRCRAFT MECHANIC WHO KEPT A LOG BOOK ON THE BIKE LIKE THE LOGBOOK ON AN AIR FORCE AIRCRAFT. HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. (OF COURSE, LOG BOOK WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE BIKE) ++EVERY THING DONE IN THE LAST 40K MILE (10 YEARS) INCLUDING EVERY GAS FILL-UP IS DETAILED IN THIS BOOK. (EVEN SHOWS MILEAGE ON EACH FILL-UP) LOG DETAILS NUMEROUS ADD-ONS, SOME YOU CAN SEE, MANY YOU CAN'T SEE. WILL TRY TO LIST ALL BUT WILL LIKELY MISS SOMETHING. AND +++++EVERYTHING WORKS++++++ (DID NOT TRY CASSETTE AS HAD NO CASSETTES AVAILABLE TO TRY IT WITH BUT BETTING IT WORKS TOO) BEING AN SE MODEL, THE BIKE IS LOADED WITH THE STANDARD GOLDWING AMENITIES (INCLUDING ++++REVERSE++++) PLUS SE FEATURES (CB, ETC). THIS ONE HAS SO MANY EXTRAS THAT AM GOING TO START WITH THEM: ---PROGRESSIVE SUSPENSION BOTH FRONT AND REAR. (GREATLY IMPROVES HANDLING) ---TRIGGER WHEEL CHANGED FROM STOCK TO FASTER ADVANCE (GREATLY IMPROVES ACCELERATION) ---EXTRACTOR EXHAUST COLLECTOR ADDED. (AGAIN, ENHANCES PERFORMANCE) ---PULSATING BRAKE LIGHTS (GOOD SAFETY ITEM) ---ALL REFLECTORS CHANGED TO LIGHTS (ANOTHER GOOD SAFETY ITEM) ---TURN SIGNALS ON BOTH TRUNK AND SADDLEBAGS (SAFETY) ---TULSA CLEAR VENTED WINDSHIELD ---K & B FULL FLOW AIR FILTER (ANOTHER PERFORMANCE ITEM) ---MANUAL FAN CONTROL SWITCH ADDED (ALLOWS YOU TO TURN ON COOLING FANS WHEN YOU WANT RATHER THAN WAITING FOR AUTO SWITCH TO KICK IN) ---100/80 HEADLIGHT BULBS (MUCH BRIGHTER THAN STOCK) ---COMPUFIRE 90 AMP ALTERNATOR (MAJOR IMPROVEMENT ON STOCK) (COSTS $400 ALONE) ---RECEIVER TRAILER HITCH ADDITIONALLY, LOG SHOWS: ---TIMING BELTS REPLACED ---ALL FLUIDS CHANGED SEVERAL TIMES ---ALTERNATOR REPLACED NOT LONG AGO ---COOLANT HOSES REPLACED ---DUNLOP ELITE 3 TIRES WERE NEW 3500 MILES AGO. (EXACT MILES AT REPLACEMENT SHOWN) WHEN THE FIRST GOLDWING CAME OUT IN 1975, IT SET A WHOLE NEW STANDARD FOR QUIET AND SMOOTH. THE GL1500 WAS A QUANTUM LEAP FROM ANYTHING PREVIOUS, EVEN THE GL1200. SOME EVEN PREFER THE 1500 TO THE NEWER 1800 (AWESOME BIKE FOR SURE) AS THE 1500 HAS MORE STORAGE CAPACITY, A HIGHER RATED LOAD CAPACITY, AND A SLIGHTLY SOFTER RIDE. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GOLDWINGS, YOU KNOW THEY ARE LEGENDARY FOR RELIABILITY AND LONGEVITY. MANY 1500'S ARE STILL GOING STRONG WITH 300K, 400K, OR MORE MILES, NO OVERHAUL. I'VE ACTUALLY SEEN A COUPLE OVER 500K MILES, STILL GOING STRONG, NO OVERHAUL. SO, WITH THE CONDITION, EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE HISTORY, AND MY FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE AT JUST HOW SWEET THIS ONE RUNS AND RIDES, THE ++130K MILES++ IT HAS SHOULD BE NO ISSUE AT ALL. HONESTLY, IF THE ODO SAID 30K, YOU WOULD BELIEVE IT AND IT LOOKS THAT GOOD TOO. THE 1995 IS THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION PER THE BADGES ON THE FAIRING GARNISH AND TRUNK. HONDA MADE SEVERAL CHANGES WITH THIS MODEL INCLUDING: --LOWERED SEAT HEIGHT OVER AN INCH.
