Exceptional '97 Mercedes Benz S500 Sedan finished in beautiful Black over Black leather interior. This car is fully loaded and runs like a top. Only 86k miles from new. Has always been meticulously serviced and maintained and comes with service records and receipts. Some of the recent work completed includes: New hydraulic accumulators and hydraulic fluid Resealed leaking transmission connector New spark plugs Replaced shifter linkage bushing Replaced drivebelt Replaced transmission mount Replaced both motor mounts New brake pads and rotors New tires Most of the work was completed at 73k miles. Has the original 6-spoke wheels with no curb rash, tires are in excellent condition with plenty of tread left. The exterior and paint are in great condition, although there are some very minor rock chips in the front as you'd expect from a 14 year old car with 86k miles on it. There's no major damage and from what I was told and can see has never been in any accidents. The Black plush leather interior is in remarkable condition. There's no bolster wear or rips or tears on either of the front seats. The rear seats have seen little actions and are in excellent condition. The wood trim is beautiful and in excellent condition and doesn't show any signs of cracking or fading. No cracking or fading the dash either whatsoever. The carpeting is in excellent condition, the front floormats are in good condition and have served their purpose over the years, although they could probably be replaced at some point. The bi-xenon headlamps make driving at night much easier. The passenger side headlight wiper, as you can see in the photos, seems to be stuck straight up and down. I am not sure if it's just a fuse or if the wiper motor went out. This is something I just noticed about a week ago and haven't had time to research a solution for this. Comes with the original full size spare and tools. Also comes with the original owners manuals and leather case. Clean and clear California title in hand. Unfortunately we are downsizing and this being our 3rd vehicle we have decided to let this car go. If you have ever owned or driven the W140 series Mercedes then you know these flagship vehicles are amazing to own and drive. These are said to be the last true Mercedes to be "over-engineered" as these were the last cars built by Daimler-Benz before being bought out by DaimlerChrysler (Daimler AG). These cars came fully loaded with many options not seen in other vehicles at the time and also introduced many innovations such as double-pane window glazing, power-assisted closing for doors and boot lid, electric windows which lowered back down upon encountering an obstruction and many others.
