this auction is for a 1968 pontiac firebird,2-door coupe.vin # 223377U122846.the motor,# is YW0234931,and is a 1974- 455 ci,hi performance,which has been rebuilt,with new rings,new main bearings,and rod bearings,new oil pump,new fuel pump.with ,O61 high compression heads,which are completely rebuilt,by performance racing,in penticton,bc.,which had a cost of about $1000.00,just for the head rebuild, alone,and they are they are 72cc. chamber.the motor has an edlebrock torker intake manifold,with a quadrajet carb,and a chrome aircleaner, runs very strong,with a nice loppiness to it,and has lots of performance power to it.it has an hei type of distributer,which give a very strong spark output,rather than a points distibuter,that it originally came out with.i have driven car aroung town,nice,also on open highway,and handles fine,but front end should be checked for alignment,to be safe.the steering wheel is original,but had some repair to it.cap,and hawk is original. the transmission is a TH400,with a new stage ll shift kit in it,and barks the tires when upshifts,and shifts very strong,and smooth. the headlights,parklights,turning lights,all work fine.the car body was paint stripped down to bare metal,and is painted,first with an etching paint,and then a primer,and then with a red base coat,clear -coat ,type paint,as pics show,but there are a few flaws in the drivers door,front fender,and the hood,which should be gone back over,to make paint show quality nice.i have original primer,and matching paint ,to do this with,which i will include with car purchase. the seats,front and back,have new upholstery on them,and look very nice.the headliner is new,which needs to be tightened up,to look nice.the carpet is new.the dash is nice,with a small bit of minor repair on the top surface area,a very small area,and looks very nice now.the dash guage has a 160 speedometer,in it.it has all of the insignia,that is the hawks,on fenders,firebird script(very nice),cubby hole cover,has hawk,as does both fenders,and fuel door.etc.tires are polar trax,205/70/15 MS,with trim rings,and pontiac caps,with logo one of the heater core pipes end,do not seal well,so i have included an extra,new heater core with car.the dome light needs to be hooked up,but has a new one with car.there is a spare tire,jack,and wrench,with the car.the drivers side front grill,will need to be replaced,as a small section broke,at the top.a very easy to find part. the car had alot of welding done to it,that is the floor boards,trunk bottom,as was the right rear quarter panel,but looks fine now. gas tank is clean,and has a new gas guage installed in it,and all new gas lines,and hose connections. this automobile is not being listed as a show quality car,but as a daily driver quality,and front end should be checked for alignment,as it was not driven for over twenty years.there is some adjusting needed for various parts,like hood area,front nose,just mostly settings,adjustments.over all,a nice looking,first generation muscle car. car was in a minor fender bender,at one time ,where the front bumper,and the filler plate was lightly damaged,and bumper was replaced,filler panel re-straightened,and used. because of the vintage year of the car,the USA-CANADA borders,are not a problem,for new owner,to get across,as different options are available. buyer will pay 500.00 deposit,within 24 hours of close of auction and balance in three days of closing of auction,and to pick up,at my residence,here in oliver,bc,no later than seven(7) days from close of auction. i accept paypal,and certified cashiers checks,only USA,and canadian buyers only call me at 1-250-498-5122,or email me at _ rockmann@telus.net thanks,and happy bidding
