For Sale: 1965 Jeep CJ5 This is a great project that needs very little to be a great hunting, farm, or play vehicle or could be a great candidate for a more in-depth restoration. I purchased this Jeep out of Georgia earlier this year with the intentions of throwing an engine in it and driving it around. The seller, a Jeep collector and restorer himself, purchased it from a friend of his. He told me that the previous owner used it on their property and the engine needed to be rebuilt, so they took it to a shop. Long story short, when they didn't hear anything back from the engine rebuilder, they went to the shop to find it closed up and the rebuilders gone with the engine. He purchased it and held on to it for awhile, but decided to let it go to help fund another restoration. I bought it complete minus engine- this auction is the complete Jeep minus its engine, but I have some that I would sell with it for an additional price. Comes with Bill of Sale, as both Georgia and Alabama do not require titles for anything this old. (I will also include the Bill of Sale I received when I bought it). The Jeep is complete minus engine and all it needs is to have another engine put in it and driven. The wiring harness, axles and drive-shafts, body parts, etc are all there. It has old Buckshot Mudders on it that will need to be replaced for much use. It is missing the passenger's side seat, and the gas tank has been removed for cleaning; it is sitting next to the driver's seat. The Jeep, like all old jeeps, has rust. I have tried to take pictures of the areas. It has some rust in the floorboards, the rear area around the tailgate, the front fenders, and the battery box. These are all areas that could be repaired with the multitude of repair parts and panels available online and on eBay. Unfortunately, I have to sell this great, fun little Jeep because I am losing my storage. Also, I have 2 Inline 6 cylinder Jeep engines and a bellhousing that is supposed adapt them to the existing transmission for sale separately, and could include them for an additional price with any potential purchaser.
