Vehicle Detail
Up for a sale is a 1991 Mazda RX7. Though I am a former RX7 fanatic, this fine specimen is not mine. I'm simply helping a fellow Rotary owner sell but I thought I'd help an associate sell what I believe will be an easy fix. According to the owner, this RX7 runs, but runs rough when cold. I was curious to see it run myself, but the I tried to, the battery was dead and resorted to hooking it up a jumper box where the engine clearly cranked but would not stay on. The owner has taken the car to a car shop that no knows nothing about Rotaries and has had them replace T.P.S but it still ran rough when cold. The owner has since given up and entrusted me to help sell it. It's been years since I've dealt with rotaries, but I vaguely remember that this was common problem and that there was an easy fix for them, but back then I was mostly interested in carburated 1st. gens therefore I didn't pay much attention to F.I issues and fixes. I no longer have the time to tinker with cars, other wise this baby would be in my garage YESTERDAY, so the least that I could do is to see to it that it gets a good Rotary-Loving home. I took as many pics as possible showing all of the pluses and minuses that I could see. You will also notice that the car shows some rust, but I assure you it is only surface rust from where the paint has peeled and simply needs a new paint job. Another item worth mentioning that you will clearly see in one of the interior pics, is that bottom steering column cover is not installed, but do not worry I saw it stored away in the trunk. I cannot think of anything else to say, but I'm sure many of you will have questions, so ask away just please keep in mind that it may take a day or two before I reply. NOTE: the car is being sold as-is and will most likely need to be towed when picking up. If you're not picking up the car yourself, you're responsible for making your own towing arrangements. I should also mention that I have used www.mcnutttransport.com twice before with great success. P.S. Being that this car is on the market locally, I reserve the right to end the auction in the event of sale. $500 is due upon end of auction and balance within 7 days or any other mutually agreed upon arrangement.
