Vehicle located in Coventry, Ct 06238 WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A FACTORY "70" CHEVELLE RAGTOP - 4 SPEED WITH THIS DOCUMENTATION ??? One of the last mostly original 70 ragtops out there !! 1970 Chevrolet malibu 350 original motor Factory 4 speed Convertible. Not a flawless 50,000 dollar show car but a beautiful driver that sounds AWESOME! You could make a real nice show car out of this if you wanted to. Dial it in the way you like it !!! With this vehicle I have the following Documentation ,,,,, * * The Owners Manual * * The Sales Order from the New Car dealer * * The Original Invoice showing a 1965 Oldsmobile as a trade in * * The GMAC Loan paperwork showing the vehicle Paid in Full * * The original Insurance Binder from 5/14/1970 * * A partial Build Sheet showing the equipment * * The Original brochure from The Chevrolet dealer when purchased. * * Misc. repair receipts A VERY WELL DOCUMENTED VINTAGE VEHICLE WITH A #’S Matching engine I have not dug into checking other items for matching #’s except for the engine #. If the new owner is so interested he can do that. Plant The car runs well and Idles Beautifully and also sounds Great. It goes thru the gears well. There is some play in the steering. Most of the outside lights look to work well. The 1970”s aftermarket stereo works but lacks quality sound. The dash was not butchered years ago when the stereo was installed. The emergency brake works as does the Power convertible top. The wipers work alittle slow, heater works, horn doesn’t. The convertible top was replaced last year along with a new well liner and new top pads. It does have a Glass rear window. It has an ss rear bumper pad but is not an ss. It had a new hood added to the car when it was repainted. It has a base-coat clear coat paint that was sanded and buffed and has a nice deep shine. The lower quarters had a lower panel put on them at some point and has some plastic but shows well. The sides look straight as you look down them. The area where the rear left passenger sits had a small patch at one time but looks fine. Otherwise the rest of the passenger area floor pans and braces look good. The frame looks original and fine. The underside should be cleaned up and painted black for show. The single exhaust was replaced last year with dual exhaust useing Original style “GM’ front pipes and hangers. It also received 2 New Turbo mufflers, not too loud, just right. It looks like the original bias ply spare might still be in it along with the jack. The key buzzer still works. It has a nice looking interior. The carpet was changed last year. If you are at all anal please find a show car to bid on. This is just a fun driver. THE ANSWER IS YES. IT DID ORIGINALLY COME AS A MANUAL 4 SPEED CAR. IT SHOWS THAT ON THE BUILD SHEET. AND AS FAR AS THE MOTOR GOES THE NUMBERS THAT ARE BEHIND THE ALTERNATOR ARE THE SAME NUMBERS AS ON THE VIN TAG.
