This auction is for a 1988 Suzuki Samurai. This is a 4 wheel drive vehicle that came out of arizona 3 years ago. It was used only as a gold prospecting vehicle in the mountains for the past several years. This vehicle has been geared to have plenty of torque to clim through the mountains without having the 4 cylinder engine under powered. This being said it will only comfortably run 50 miles per hour on the open road without pushing it too hard. This Suzuki has 63500 miles on it and has no rust holes in it. it has been in iowa for the past 3 years so i did notice today that there is a small place in the front of the hood where the paint is starting to bubble a little bit but there is no hole. This is a 4 cylinder 5 speed with 4 wheel drive. the tires on it are over half tread but probably closer to 3/4 tread and they are a matched set. The spare is also a match to the tires on the vehicle and is brand new never been on the road. As you can tell from the miles it has sat more than it has been driven and alot of the sitting was in the arizona desert sun. Now the technical things. This is not a brand new vehicle so please dont expect it to be. The winning bidder will have a few minor things to do to it. they are as follows. First i think a tune up would do it some good but it does run pretty good now. (I just made a 40 mile trip home in it yesterday). The seats are not factory and could definately use replacing. The heater blower switch needs replaced but i do have a make shift switch hooked up for the time being. The top has a couple small holes in it and the zipper isnt very good and has the thread gone in some spots(however i am told that a brand new top is only 350 dollars for it). The clutch pedal is kind of hard to push and i think it just needs the cable lubricated but cant promise. The clutch is really strong and it definately does not slip so that is no worry. The heater control valve under the hood in the heater hose is stuck so you cant turn it to hot air at this time but it can be taken out and put a small piece of plastic heater hose in its place and you should always have plenty of heat that way or just get a new valve which is what i suggest. I also have the bikini top for it as well. It does not smoke or use oil that i am aware of and the engine is pretty clean for being a 1988 model. There is some oil moisture places on the engine but not any drips or running out that i can see. I am told that this thing gets around 30 miles to the gallon in fuel milage as well. This vehicle does have some minor scratches and dings which should be expected for a vehicle of its vintage however i dont know where in my part of the country you would find a cleaner one with lower miles than this one. I almost forgot that it also has factory scorpion decals on it so it may be a special edition or something i am not sure. THIS IS AN AS IS WHERE IS AUCTION AND I WILL NOT SHIP OR DELIVER IT.
