Selling for NO reserve. Final bid takes the car home... Stunning 1971 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible owned in California. My family is growing and priorities are changing so the car has to go... This is not a rusty car and but a very well kept Karmann Ghia. Floor pans and nose area are excellent with no rust. Complete with chrome over riders and white wall tires. It has a very powerful 2100cc motor with dual Weber carbs. The 4 speed transmission with Empi shifter is smooth and crisp. Motor is very healthy and starts right up on one click. The exhaust is throaty and deep. You can tell that this car is not stock! Hear it on the youtube video and see the many pics below. It is painted a beautiful gloss black with red interior. The interior seat covers and door panels have been reupholstered. Carpet is in good condition. Dash is excellent with no cracks. New black vinyl top with glass back window replaced about a year ago. Custom Alpine stereo with amplifier and MB Quart speakers. Rpm gauge was added under dash. Tires and brakes have plenty of life left. Chrome trim is complete and very good condition. Glass is good condition. All electronics are working (fuel gauge, speedo, signals, lights, etc). Paint has some imperfections and some areas show polish marks. See the close ups of both rear quarters near tail lights where you can see paint polishing blemishes. Comes with the custom steering wheel pictured and I will include the stock black steering wheel it came with. Also, have the jack and tools and spare. Car has the id plates in front and drivers door sticker. Rear view mirror is cracked and can be replaced. This is a nice car to enjoy for the weekends or just to collect. These cars are getting very difficult to find without rust issues or being major restoration project. This is neither. It is complete and turn key. Ready to drive. Clean title in hand.
