I bought the CJ7 in 2006 with hope of restoring it. I spent lots of $$$$ on the restoration...and have stalled. My loss is your gain. I bought this CJ7 in Vermont on a bill of sale (too old in Vermont for a title) I also have the previous MA title. I drove the CJ7 home that day...she started right up and ran all the way home. I tested the 4 wheel drive system on a back road in Vermont....ran perfectly. The big 6 had lots of torque and ran fine on the highway all the way to my house in Acton MA outside of Boston. Lots of the grunt work is done, add a fuel tank and you are about ready for a new body. This aution does not include a body. This is a partial list of the new parts installed on the CJ7. Front Brakes Rotors, including inner and outer bearings and seal Calipers Pads Hose Rear Brakes Shoes Springs Drums Hydraulic Cylinders Hose Suspension (2" or 2 1/2" lift) 4 springs 4 shocks Shackles Bushings Fuel System Fuel Pump Fuel Lines (not installed) tank to pump, fuel return, fuel vapor Hubs---Warn This will be a great CJ7 when completed.
