2004 Volkswagon Jetta TDI GLS. This car is a great daily driver but we are in the need of a larger vehicle. Fuel mileage is excellent with an average of 42mpg or a little over 600 miles between fill ups. The picture of the instrument panel shows a warning light on. This light came on when the brake pads needed to be changed and has not turned off. It was turned off when the timing belt was changed but came back on. I am unsure of the reason it is on or what needs to be done to turn it off. It has been on for about a year and doesn't appear to have any effect on the car. Exterior paint is in good shape with some paint chipped off on the drivers side corner of the rear bumper but there is no dent and with the dark color of the paint and the black plastic underneath I tend to not notice it. The car cranks and runs great I drive it 50 miles round trip to work every day and have never had a problem. The timing belt was replaced at 150000 miles along with the glow plugs and battery. The car is loaded with all of the option parts moonroof, leather, driver & passenger heated seats, 6 disc CD changer. The car is my daily driver so the mileage will increase between the begining of the auction and end. If you would like to see the car in person before bidding please contact me. On Jan-02-11 at 08:23:51 PST, seller added the following information: The light that is on according to the manual is the ASR/ESP light. The description from the manual is "The warning light illuminates when the ignition is switched on and goes out again after about 2 seconds. The light will start flashing when the vehicle is moving if the Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) or the Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) is activated. The warning light will light up continuously if the system is switched off manually, or if a malfunction should occur. Since the ASR/ESP operates together with the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), the ASR/ESP warning light will also come on if a fault should occur in the ABS.
