The Good This is a 1976 Clasic Short Bed 4x4 chevy, that has that just right look. 4 inch lift with 33 inch tires. It has Rare AC and Tilt wheel!!!!!!!! The owner was a freind of mine he passed away, I got the truck thinking I would do a restoration on it. I still may, but have had less and less time latley. This truck spent most of its life in Californa, so the rust is really pretty good espesially compaired to trucks from around here. This truck was the previous owners pride and Joy, I will only sell it to some one who will restore it and make it better. If you have been looking for a great project that you can make money on this might be the right one for you. The rims and tires are worth 800.00 to 1000.00 They are bolth fairly new with only a few months of use on them . It passed saftey and IM last summer. The owner told me he put a new motor in it and did the transmition, It must have been quite of few miles ago though. The motor work was done by his brother who owned a machine shop, so I am fairly sure it was done right. The breaks work great trans shifts smooth. The previous owner whent through the front end so it steers tight and goes down the road strait. Comes with two extra doors in great shape but wrong color, A grill and crome light trim rings. Some sort of light bar that looks like it mounts to the front bumper. The Bad I have noticed the transmition leaks fluid when parked for a week or two. It also has a hard time going into park. Both could be easy fixes or they could be somthing more serious, I have not gotten under the truck to look at the problem. Might just be linkage. The Transmition shifts through all the gears smooth. The Blower motor went out on it a couple of weeks ago when I when down to start it. It was making noise and started to smoke. It left a nice smoke smell in the cab. I just un pluged the blower motor. The truck needs alot of tlc, Depending on what a guy whated to do it could be put back on the road easy enoughf or it could have a full restoration done to it. The pasanger door needs some door Pins and the drivers window has a hard time going up and down. I was going to put a fuel injected motor in it with a 700r4 trans and do the body and paint and drive it as a daily driver. I metion this because I dont want somone out there thinking they can jump in this truck and drive it to Florida, It might make it I dont know but I sure would not try it. My point is it needs some work and love. The ugly The hood has some paint missing and has had some good surface rust start. There is a small spot on one of the cab corrners, and at the bottom of the pasanger front fender with some rust. Like I said it is in really great shape for my area. Mabey that is horable shape for your area so look close at pictures and ask any questions before you bid. I would rather have a happy buyer than some one that is disapointed.
