Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is a beautiful, straight body, 1967 Westfalia Bus. I bought her recently with the hopes of a quick project. However life has had other plans, and I hope some caring bus person will want to do the same. She comes with the stock gas heater in the front. The engine and transmission are original, and the numbers supposedly support that theory. She comes with a nice roof rack. She's a 12 volt. The underneath side is in very straight condition. It has almost no dings!!!! There are a couple of 2 inch long creases/ dings, and that's it!! The floor board of the drives/passengers side, has a few golf ball sized holes. The back cargo area has a couple. The running boards on both sides has some holes, but nothing too big, or unexpected. The worst condition thing about the bus, is that where the side doors close, there will have to be some welding on the floor/ running board area, as it is separating. . The only missing gauge is the gas gauge. The Transmission seems good, and the clutch is working. My guess on the engine is that it needs rebuilt. This bus is from southern Illinois, but relatively, rust free. It has been stored for the last ten years. I don't want to sell her, but my mother is sick. I can always get another bus, but not another mother!!! The bus DOES NOT have: a horn button, a whole bunch of window seals, CAMPING INTERIOR, panels, SIDE WINDOWS(six)!!!!! It is also missing a couple pieces of cooling tin. It still has the old oil bath, and it's rubber is in good condition. The back window is in, and in tact. The front ones are out, and sitting in the front seat. One has a minor crack in the lower quarter. This is a great bus, and a great restore project, that will take very little to get her going. She is a rare bus, being a "walk through," and would make a great Christmas gift!!! This vehicle is being sold "as is!!" IT DOES NOT RUN. I'm pretty sure she's gonna need a rebuild. Happy Bidding, and good luck!!! I accept Paypal only, unless you deliver cash in hand.!! Yes, there is a clear Title.
