Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 For sale is an exceptional, low-mileage, garage-kept and pampered, numbers-matching 1963 Porsche 356B Coupe, which has been recently refreshed. This Karmann bodied, T-6 coupe (chassis #213270) retains its year of manufacture California black license plate, and the original 1.6 liter, 4-cylinder engine (#610540) per the original Porsche Dealer Window Sticker which comes with the car. After recently being acquired from the widow of a collector, the car underwent a refreshing to include a windows-out, basecoat/clearcoat repaint, in its factory original Signal Red (color code #6211), leaving the finish smooth as glass with great gaps and no dings, dints or scratches. The excellent rust-free body shows no signs of accident damage or replacement sheet metal. The original factory undercoated belly pan is solid and the drain holes remain intact. The Black vinyl interior has also been freshened with recovered seats and dash, new German square-weave carpet, new rubber (floor mats, sills, and door seals) and new headliner. The windshield has been replaced, the glass and chrome are in good order and most of the rubber body seals have also been replaced. The original engine (#610540) and transaxle (#63466) have been rebuilt and have less than 17K miles on the clock. The engine starts on first crank, idles smoothly, doesn’t smoke or leak oil, accelerates with no hesitation, and the transmission shifts crisply and effortlessly through all gears. The car tracks arrow-straight, rides rattle-free and "stops on a dime." The car is equipped with a Blaupunkt Frankfurt AM/FM/SW radio, a chromed Lietz luggage rack, and comes with the original tool kit, owner’s manual, jack, spare tire and a newer set of Dunlop tires (95% tread) mounted on chrome wheels as well as two sets of keys to include the glove box and transmission lock keys. Everything to include the radio, turn signals, gauges, horn, windshield wipers/washers, etc., all work properly with the exception of the clock. Normal 0 This fast appreciating 356B Porsche attracts “thumbs up” wherever it goes and needs nothing but to be driven by a new owner…easily one of the nicest “bath tub” coupes anywhere. Come take a look, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy one of your investments for a change…truly a timeless piece of art that is a pleasure to behold as well as a kick to drive. Normal 0 Auction winner will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $1000 within 24 hours of the end of the auction (payPal is ok). The balance will need to be paid with cash, wire transfer, or certified funds within 7 days of the end of the auction. Car will not be released until all funds have cleared. Buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping of car, and we will help with those arrangements. This car is being offered for sale locally, so we reserve the right to end the auction early.
