BMW went right at us car guys' throats with the re-design of the M3. The exterior face lift couldn't be any better! The Silverstone Metallic Paint on this car is flat out incredible to say the least. It screams sophistication in every respect of the word. For those wanting a slightly more discreet rocket ship coupe, this is the color to have! Subtle to the ordinary eye, but very lethal to those that know what this car is packing under the hood! Condition of the paint is stellar to say the least. This car has 13k miles and you'd never know it by looking at it. There are no scratches, no dents and no dings. If you get on your hands and knees when you wash it you MIGHT notice a very small normal chip or two, the car isn't new, but darn close to looking so! It's very obvious that the prior owner took very good care of this car. This is also a Las Vegas adult owned car. That is excellent piece of mind that you aren't buying a back east snow plow with a host of other issues. Trust me, you can't compare a back east car with a Las Vegas car. On a 1 - 10 scale, the east coast cars are always 2 - 5 points lower on the scale if you really look at them. Once you see this car you will be more than satisfied with your purchase and you will immediately fall in love with what you see. The updated body is incredible. Huge massive fenders, flares, wider stance, carbon fiber roof and a very tasteful set of staggered 18" wheels from the BMW proving grounds make this car award winning in appearance just as it is in performance! And just so you know, the M3 is not just a hyped up 3-Series. Except for the chassis, doors, trunklid and fuel-filler cap, BMW says the M3 doesn't have any other parts in common with the regular 3 Series! This truly is an entirely different machine!!! The inside of the M3 also has seen major refinement! The Silver "Novillo" Leather is an option and a great one at that! For once a super high end leather that competes with the AMG leather and in most peoples eyes actually trumps it! As you climb aboard this rocket ship you will feel an instant attraction at the M designations located throughout the cabin. BMW is known for their outstanding instrumentation and ergonomics so just push the starter button and hang on, this car is the real deal! The second it starts the growl of the big V8 comes to life and all 414 horsepower are at your mercy. The ESCORT Laser Radar will automatically enable itself to keep you safely under the limit by avoiding unnecessary conversations with Johnny Law. The Hi-Fi Sound System is primo as well and with the optional Satellite station you'll be in heaven on your ride home. Hopefully you hit your seat warmer and by the time you exit the parking lot you are already in bliss as you warm up from the cold weather. This car was also owned by a non-smoker so as you blast the warmth from the climate controlled air vents you won't notice any unpleasant smells. There are no abnormal wear indicators anywhere inside and again, for a 13k mile car, you will be extremely pleased with the interior condition. There are no signs of abuse or neglect and its quite obvious that this car was well taken care of by a fine car lover. Performance of this car is award winning for its class no doubt. When BMW stuffed the massive V8 into this car they did the right thing. We put a few miles on this car and were completely blown away at how incredibly different this car is compared to its predecessor. You genuinely feel like you are in an entirely different league if you owned an E46. To be honest, finally a manufacturer got it right! A lot of cars come out a bit underpowered, not this car! If you read the Car and Driver report from 2009 they will tell you that on their tests, this car outperform the new Audi RS4, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, the Lexus IS F and even the Nissan GT-R! Whoa! In fact, they just pit against a new Porsche 911 and the M3 dethroned it on the race track providing much more front end grip, so much so that the editors were astounded at the difference! Don't believe me, look it up. Lap times at Laguna Seca, tailor made for the Porsche, were on average 1.1 seconds faster in the M3! And this car costs almost $8k less than a base entry model 911. Imagine that one at your morning coffee meeting on Monday when you stroll in and defeat your boss that bought a more expensive car...ooops! And at the end of the day, comparing every car mentioned above, dollar for dollar or money aside, the M3 is the clear winner of choice for arguably the best car testers on the planet!
