This is a 1997 Eclipse Spyder, ( convertible). I bought this car for my girlfriend but she has yet to become comfortable with a 5 speed. So I have driven the car for a summer fun car for the last two years. I love driving it. The car is very dependable, gets great gas milage and fun to drive. I have done all the up keep on the car. It always has had synthetic motor oil, it has NO leaks and does not burn any oil. I drive the car for all of my weekend road trips. I have been all over the country in this car and I would do it again with out a hesitation. I would not be affraid to put a kid or one of my own brothers or sisters in this car for a road trip anywhere. ( actually a couple of them have borrowed it for just that. LOL) In short the car is great. The interior is in need of a good shampoo job but other than that the car is in great shape. All the paint matches ( no body work). As for the mechanicals there is nothing that the car is in need of that I know of. The tires are good, it has a brand new battery, New plugs and plug wires, new wheel bearings, new drive axles, just flushed the cooling system and charged ac. The clutch is in great shape and has NO slipping. all the windows and locks work. as well as the factory alarm. Please contact me with any questions. ( also tan) On Dec-21-10 at 17:29:11 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: There was a tear in the driver seat side bolster I found a good used set that are very nice. So I bought them and put them in today so the front seats are now new. Also there was a small crack that you would never see in the center console. I have now replaced that too. Please keep in mind who ever buys the car will need to have room for all of the extra parts. Also the oil was changed today as well. Extra Parts Include: Second set of seats ( the old ones), The second top ( The new one), Factory tail lights, Extra center console ( old one).
