Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1994 Honda CBR600F2 Smokin’ Joe’s HRC race bike. It is NOT the replica Honda made in 1995. That was an F3. This is a REAL HRC SuperSport bike of that era. This bike was built buy HRC with Commonwealth Honda, who was the factory Honda race team in the 1990’s. This bike was raced by Mike Smith to 2nd place in the ’94 AMA SuperSport series. Engine and carbs are very nicely tuned. Engine is strong! It has only been run with high quality synthetic race oils. It had been used in some club racing and a couple of track days, but fully serviced since then. Engine and suspension have been fully refreshed since my track time on it. It has a Penske dual-range shock, tuned forks. It goes and handles as good as when Smith raced it! It comes with boxes of spares from HRC. Chassis and engine parts; brakes, brake lines, valves, transmission, gearing, and other parts are in the spares kit. This bike is pretty much as it was when raced back then. It could be used as a track bike, still. But I would prefer to see it in a collection. I have searched and don’t know of any other REAL Smokin’ Joe’s race machines available, anywhere! Would look great in a Man Cave or showcase garage! Bike can be seen at SuperTune Motorsports. Please call 303-495-3290 or stop by today. We are located at 4420 Allison St Wheat Ridge Colorado 80033. On Dec-26-10 at 18:10:55 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: I have been asked by several people to detail spares that come with this bike. Inventory is as follows: 4 new pistons, with clips and pins. (rings were used in top end refresh) These are new, in bubble wrap and have weight marking numbers on them.Head gasketCam chainOEM cam chain tensioner (there is an A.P.E. on it now)2- left engine/stator covers. One is Smokin' Joe's painted, the other is a welded and reinforced in silver Set of 4 NGK R017 #10 racing plugs (these are used, but cleaned and good to use)1 complete lightly used clutch pack. all fibre and metal plates, with fresh springs3 extra, new in Honda wrap, clutch fiber plates. 9 new transmission parts. - These are all new in Honda boxes and include 1st through 6th input and output shaft gears. - Also some C-clips and washers. Not marked.1 extra cush drive, with rubber-dampers and sprocket, good bearings and has spacers New Oil pump and pick-up strainerSome other miscellaneous hardware The fork refresh was done by me at my shop. This was basically new seals, outer bushings and Synth oil. The Penske shock was done by Penske. It has hi- & low-range compression on remote reservoir, and rebound adjustments on shock body. The engine top end was done by me with an excellent local race-engine builder/tuner I worked with. Pistons and cylinders were in excellent condition. No scratching and taper was well within OEM in tolerances. We honed the cylinders, gapped and replaced the rings after pulling the top end apart to check it. Also checked valve guides, re-lapped valves and set valve clearances. All this was done after the season I raced it. I ran a couple of track days on it a few years ago. It ran perfect! (Freaked some new GSXR and R6 riders when this old CBR-F2 was still drafting right behind and braking with them at the end of long straights! Admittedly, the brakes are not up to what new bikes have.) I have Honda MSO from Commonwealth. This bike was never a street bike. It was never titled. On Dec-26-10 at 18:18:04 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot, Spares include new brake and clutch levers and external shift linkage. I also have a partial set of new valve seals.
