1987 Mercedes Benz 300TD wagon This is a solid car with the smoothest ride I've ever experienced. I am, I believe, the 5th owner and bought the car in Philadelphia, PA in early 2008. I've had a lot of work done over the past few years and have with great regret bought a new car for daily use. The vehicle runs well, however the last time it was in the shop my mechanic indicated that the rear suspension needs work. During highway driving the issue is not noticeable, however it becomes so in city driving and on uneven roads. The car also has poor uphill acceleration in cold weather, and a faulty turbocharger was indicated. That said, I cruised for 100 miles at 75mph in this vehicle yesterday with ease -- you will be able to drive it home. Finally, the blower motor makes noise, and while the heat and a/c still work, it would likely also need to be replaced. Also, the climate control does not work consistently at idle, and I was told that the car needed a new auxiliary fan switch as well. Below I have attempted to the best of my ability to list the other smaller details on the car. Interior wear/functionality All signals, power seats, power windows and sunroof work perfectly. The radio works, but the cassette player does not. Dashboard cracks, small rip in upholstery in left rear seat. Cruise control does not work.
