Vehicle Detail
1964 Falcon Ranchero. Original 260 V-8 with a re-built C-4 automatic (has the correct bellhousing from a Comet to mate to the 260). The motor has been re-sealed top to bottom and has all new Doug Thorton long tube Headers with new mufflers and exhaust, new oil pump, new fuel pump, new Holley 570 4-barrell carburator with electric choke, new water pump, new 3-core radiator with shroud, new distributor with Pertronix installed, new harmonic balancer, new timing chain etc. etc. The motor holds 55 P.S.I. of oil presure at freeway speed and is tight and responsive. The front end is completely new with 1965 Mustang suspension components (upper and lower control arms, drag link, ball joints, heavy duty springs, 1 1/8" sway bar, Koni shocks, etc. etc. - all new). The drive shaft has been shortened and re-balanced. The rear end has been re-sealed. The brakes are new with a new master cylinder, new hoses, new shoes and new brake cylinders. The car drives out solid and has been sorted out completely - no suprises. The car has been re-painted inside and out in a very nice Burnt Orange color (color sanded and smooth) the interior is black leather with orange accents. The top is a black base color with Orange metal flakes. The wheel are N.O.S. Cragar Tru-spokes with radial 195/75/15 tires. The bed has been Rhino coated in the same color as the car. All the chrome is new and all the stainless steel was removed and polished. All the rubber seals are new, even the wind wings. This car is completely restored and customized - there is nothing else to do but drive it and enjoy. The reserve is honest and realistic and is much lower than this car would cost to build. Thanks for looking. The car is sold as is where is and has no warantee expressed or implied. A $1,000.00 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the winning bid and full payment is required in 72 hours of auctions end. Shipping or pick-up is the responsability of the winning bidder. On Dec-11-10 at 16:53:45 PST, seller added the following information: Just a few more notes: The original transmission was a 2-speed and in good overall condition, I simply wanted a 3-speed C-4 and so purchased and installed a re-built unit. To mate a C-4 to a 260 requires a special and hard to find bellhousing, I paid $300.00 for just that component so I could install the C-4. I also forgot to mention that the heater core is new and the heater box has been re-sealed with all new seals and then re-painted - it works fantastic.
