Hello up for auction is my 1986 mercedes 560 sec coupe I purchased this a few weeks back to use as a daily driver turns out it has a bad transmission where i thought it was a blown tranny cooler line. I replaced the line installed new front rotors and brakes on all four wheels replaced a damaged tail light lens bought windshield moldings to replace the missing ones(still need to find the other half of center one)the engine runs strong and doesn' t smoke the tires are good and the paint and interior are in very good condition for it's age it has a sub woofer in the trunk and a dvd/radio set up which i have no knowledge of so I can't really describe it. Maybe the pics will be helpful to those who know from these things we took it out for the first time today to test the repairs and she shifted fine to start out but started slipping and riding out the gears we filled the transmission again drove it a few blocks and just barely got her back in the driveway where she left a sea of transmission fluid on the driveway SHE CANNOT BE DRIVEN AND MUST BE TOWED all lights work as do the turn signals and reverse lights the gauges work as do the panel lights the AC is inoperative as is the blower motor. The hood latch cable is broken and must be replaced the hood is not latched down at this time the clear coat is fading on the trunk lid and on the roof line over the doors but shes still a looker the mufflers leak and need to be repaired I know there is a transmission available in a u pull it yard here in jax that would be inexpensive to purchase and would solve the transmission issues the sunroof works but the weatherstripping is out of place for someone with the ability she could be brought back again she drove great and I hate to let her go but I don't have the time or patience to work through the trans issues I need a car I can drive today not 3 weeks from now reserve is set low so I can recover what I purchased her for thanks for looking happy bidding On Dec-12-10 at 18:17:18 PST, seller added the following information: On Dec-13-10 at 14:40:24 PST, seller added the following information: there is a transmission available at the U pull it yard in the description as of last sunday and it would cost $75. plus a $10. core charge it would allow you to replace the trans at munimal cost if you are able to do it yourself
