Our fully loaded 2001 VW GTI GLX model is in terrific condition covering only 116k miles since it was delivered. We are the second owner (I registered the car in my name and then in 2010 in my sons name) and have put only 24k miles on the vehicle in 4 years. It’s equipped with a 5 speed transmission that shifts smoothly and has a complete black leather interior with heated front seats. We have upgraded many areas of the vehicle to create a stronger more powerful and better handling vehicle then what the factory turned out. Please check the photos and see that the vehicle has had de-badging of the front hood and front bumper and the addition of a custom front grill. The rear hatch was de-badged and a rear roof spoiler was added. The lower valences were re-painted body color. All work was completed in metal and re-painted by an excellent local body shop. The stock headlights were replaced with projector lights which also give the car a better look along with a set of lower fog lights installed for better visibility. The vehicle rides on a rare set of European Projektzwo P1 light alloy 17 x 7.5 wheels that are in excellent condition and the performance tires have 50% tread left. A 20th Anniversary Edition black headliner with A, B, & C pillers and sunroof shade were installed. There is also a Pioneer head unit installed in the dash. Mechanical additions include: a free flowing Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust for better performance and a great sound. Neuspeed Race Spring Kit along with Eibach Pro Damper Kit provides superior handling over the stock springs and shocks. BFI Performance Strut Bars front and rear provide better handling over the stock equipment. This combination also lowers the vehicle while providing a good comfortable ride. An OEM short shifter kit was installed along with a K & N air filter. The vehicle has been fully maintained. 1. A/C was recharged this past summer. 2. 2,000 miles ago new the L/R hub bearing was replaced. 3. 5,000 miles ago the vehicle had a new clutch, new rotors and new pads on all four wheels, and new rear calipers installed. 4. This past month the vehicle received a new alternator, a new starter, a new belt, and a new battery. 5. There are no service lights illuminated and no “check engine” light because the vehicle has been fully serviced and ready to go. 6. The vehicle passed the NJ State inspection 3 months ago and we have the clear title in hand. This vehicle has been maintained and is ready for a new owner. My son purchased a new truck and this GTI must go. It is sold As-is and without any warranty. It should be understood that this is a 10 year old vehicle and has some minor cosmetic blemishes due to its age.
