1971 BMW R50/5 with a clear TX title. Nearly 100% original unrestored motorcycle. Has original paint and engine matching frame. It's the desireable SWB version (short wheel base ) Odometer reading is not actual mileage. The bike was purchased in March 2010 and has been on display in owner's collection until time to restore, but the day never came. The bike started up and was running fine as demonstrated to buyer by previous owner. But since that time the bike has sat untouched and has been harder to restart recently. Current owner not mechaniclly inclined to go thru standard procedure to get it to startup ( clean carbs, check plugs, etc.)and has since decided not to go ahead with restoration project due to other interests. Bike is solid and all there. Tank looks good and solo seat is nice and gives the bike a nice look. Comes with a bag of tools and other stuff, including a manual. Could be used to turn into cafe'racer or repaint to original factory color or just leave as is and enjoy the patina! Bike will be sold to highest bidder at LOW RESERVE!
