Vehicle Detail

For years the British Royal family used Daimler cars for tansportation in all state functions. That defines the quality that was incorporated into their design and construction. You too could feel like royalty if you buy, restore, and drive this dignified old girl. Pennsylvania lists the year as 1939 on the title, but I'm not sure of the age since this model was built from 1939 to 1949. If you have a more specific idea, please let me know, and I will pass it along. This title lists the mileage as exempt per Federal law so it will be sold as such. Consider it true mileage unknown. Obviously this car needs a complete restoration, or it would be a great parts donor , or serve as a good basis for a very unique rat rod. The body is very rough with numerous old bruises, rust, and repairs especially the left rear corner of the roof which has been pulled out. Many parts are missing including the sunroof, interior, floors, rear bumper, etc.... Essentially, what you see is what you get. If you don't see it in the pictures, ask before you bid. Envision this regal beauty rebodied as a woody station wagon or a pickup truck. There are many unusual features on this car such as pre-selector transmission, right hand drive, suicide doors, and a central chassis oiler under the hood. The frame, on the other hand is solid and straight. All of the glass is present, although the rear window is discloored and cracked. It is better considered as a pattern. The engine has been run on gas from a seperate can, and sounds strong. Because the brakes are mechanical, they work, and you won't have to worry about the hydraulics sticking on or blowing out. Ancient tires mean dry rot, so bring a trailer or rollback to transport it home. They do hold air for transport but that's is about as far as you should trust them. As the winner, you are entering into a contract to purchase this car AS-IS, WHERE-IS at Bear Auto Co., 1904 W. Main St., Plymouth, PA. Do your research before you bid. I am available by email or phone at 570-740-7007 (during business hours). I urge you to either come here and inspect it yourself, or have it evaluated by a third party. Just provide at least 24 hours notice for an appointment. Be sure to secure the approval of you significant other, finance source, and any other involved parties prior to bidding. A downpayment of $500 is due within 48 hours of the close of bidding through paypal, with the balance to be paid via cash-in-hand or bank wire transfer in 7 days of the completion of the auction. The buyer is responsible for shipping.
