This is a 1983 Honda CB 550 SC Nighthawk. It is in excellent condition with low miles - 8,900 origional. I am the second owner. I aquired the bike with 8,600+ miles in 2008. The origional owner had parked the bike in a garage for several years. As a result - the Gas tank rusted and the carbs needed to be cleaned. I purchased a good used non-rusted tank on ebay. I cleaned the carbs and cream lined the tank, then had the exterior paint matched and painted the tank. The bike is in daily driver condition. I ride it around the neighborhood at least once a week. IT runs like a champ! Very Strong! The bike is perfect, no tears in the seat, nothing. The only thing wrong is that the horn doesn't work, I have not investigated why - it should be a simple fix. The tires are new with 200+ miles on them (Dunlops). Oh yeah - the front brake caliper was sticking sometimes, I would just blead it before ridding and it was fine. The bike is all origional, lights everything working. I purchased some sleek front turn signals to install - have not done so yet. Ask any questions before bidding. One more thing - The title says it's a 1982 model - which is impossible b/c honda did not make the cb 550 sc in 1982. It was a typo at the DMV with the origional owner.
