Vehicle Detail
1958 BMW ISETTA 600 Untouched "Barn Find" Original Condition This is a solid and fairly complete never touched original car that was recently discovered hid away in a collection in Pennsylvania. Odometer reads approximately 21,138 and is believed to be correct. It has been off the road since the early 1970's and stored indoors since. It is missing some of the engine shrouds and the VIN tag. The engine is locked up (doesn't turn). The carburetor is missing. The floors are solid and never patched. It has its original jack. All of the glass is intact. The interior is the original and quite presentable. There is very little rust. This car is worthy of a quality restoration. Restored examples of this model seem to be bringing extraordinary prices at auction. Car is sold with its old Pennsylvania title (free and clear), which lists the year as 1960, not 1958 as our listing indicates. We were told that it is actually a 1958. We do not know for certain. We are not experts. Sold As-IS FOB - Lynchburg, Virginia. We encourage people to come and see this vehicle or to send their representative to look at it on their behalf. Please contact Nate Thompson at thompson.hdproductions@gmail.com 434-509-6219 *DISCLAIMER* SUBJECT TO WITHDRAWAL as this car has ads placed in Hemmings Motor News and Port War Classics. If the car is sold, or a deposit to purchase has been tendered, this auction will be ended prematurely. With special circumstances, with a substantial non-refundable deposit, we may consider giving the buyer extra time to come up with the total purchase price. This will only be considered for those who contact us in advance of the auction end and work out the details to a mutually acceptable agreement. In short, we want to sell the car, so if the buyer is reasonable we will do our best to make it easier to do business. Again, this sort of arrangement has to be worked out in advance of the auction ending. We will not accept any bids from anyone with less then 10 EBay transactions, and less then a 95% positive feedback rating. If you do have less then 10 transactions and would like to bid on the vehicle please use the "ask seller a question" link on the right hand side of the page to contact us. You need to get our permission to bid before, not after you bid. The request to bid must be made through the "ask seller a question" feature. Special Note: This vehicle was listed and sold about a week ago on EBAY. The winning bidder, although technically qualifying to bid by our posted bid requirements DID NOT PAY FOR THE VEHICLE AND REFUSED (IGNORED) all of our efforts to contact them regarding payment and them having made the winning bid. In short, they ruined our auction. The car went for $7100.00 (mighty cheap... for this vehicle). The winning bidder is listed on EBAY as "libelasl" and is hereby banned from placing any future bids on our EBAY offering. They will go on our "deadbeat" permanent list. This doesn't often happen, but it tends to really ruin our day when it does occur. This so called "buyer" is from the country of "Columbia". We strongly suggest that you beware of his future bids. The runner up bidder, although listed as being from Austria, turned out to actually be from the country of "Hungary". We offered them the car at their bid $7,000 USD, but they did not go forward with the offering (nor were they obligated to as per the EBAY rules).
