Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1993 Honda ST1100. It is used and runs strong. I bought it from a guy who was going through a divorce, so it sat outside a lot. The unfortunate part of this is that the paint is faded on the top, as you can see from the photos. The Honda ST1100 is a V-4 shaft driven motorcycle. What this equates to is unparalleled smoothness and power delivery. The mileage is about 30,000. The bike starts right up and runs very strong. Included are the side cases and a touring screen. The side cases will hold more than needed for a solo touring trip. They are sized to fit a full face helmet and clothes in each and still have room to spare. I have made no other alterations to it, so it’s completely stock mechanically. I just had the oil changed on Friday (5-November-2010).I also have a throttle lock you may have as well! Also, as you can see from the photos, the tires are about 80%. I run the tire pressures at the recommended levels (38 front/42 rear). The bike rides very well. I also recently services the fork seals (well, I put new forks on altogether). The Honda toolkit is also included and is in the right “cubby” spot. Alright – the bad stuff… aside from the paint, there is an issue where the bike will sometimes die. I think it’s the tip over safety switch , this is a warranty/recall repair and will be done for free at any honda shop who has the part in stock (mine won't be auction end).... When this happens, I just clutch the bike and restart it then resume riding. The other issue is the front brake pads, which need to be changed. I HAVE the brake pads for both front and rear, I’ve just been so busy though and haven’t had a chance to change them out… so I’ll include them. The brakes up front are at 60% or so, it does require you to yank pretty good on the brake lever. In closing, I have babied this bike. I ride it responsibly. I don’t understand why people buy this particular bike and ride it like a sport bike. It’s more touring than sport (it’s a “Sport touring” bike), so if you want a torquey, fast, and very reliable motorcycle this is for you! I have a clean Michigan title in hand. The bike has never been laid down or in any accident of any kind. Please contact me through the eBay messaging service for my telephone number. I would be more than happy to field any additional questions you may have over the phone. THE NUMBER LISTED IN THE QUESTION AREA IS GOOD!
