Auction is for a very nice 1973 Super Beetle. It is not a show car nor is it in showroom condition. It has not been restored however it has been maintained using original parts when available. This is a 37 year old car that starts every time regardless of weather conditions, so far! It looks great! Runs great! Stops good! An area mechanic given the go ahead to replace the brakes said they were in good condition and didn’t need replacement. However a new master cylinder was installed along with new brake light switches which work off of the master cylinder. Shocks have been replaced. Steering box has been replaced. All tires show good tread and spare tire is new. The paint is not original however it is an older repaint. It was professionally done but there are a few imperfections from normal usage. The interior is original except someone has installed a carpet kit replacing the original carpeting. All the glass is good with no cracks or chips. The driver’s side window has some light scratches that may buff out. Replacement glass is available online from several distributors. All windows open and close properly as does the sunroof. Door locks work properly, too. The heater ducts are clear and the car warms nicely in the mild southern winters and should be fine in colder climates as well. The original AM radio works and picks up all local stations. Windshield wiper blades have been replaced and wipers do their job. Windshield washer is not connected and needs a pump. All lights work except back up lights. Turn signals work most of the time however the signal switch is wearing out and will need to be replaced for them to work correctly…all the time. I have a clear SC title on the car. It is currently tagged and insured and driven often getting compliments from young and old alike! There is a new, lower reserve on this auction since the last time listed. Good luck bidding on this great VW.
