Vehicle Detail
1967 Ford F-100 Pickup, 8 foot bed, 352 V-8, Automatic Transmission. Truck has power steering but I don't think it is original equipment. Runs good, new battery, plugs, and fuel tank. Recent dual exhaust, and the tires are in good condition. I have been driving it regularly and have used it to haul lumber and gravel recently. I had some problems with the fuel system but I replaced the fuel tank and flushed the lines and have had no problems at all since then. The truck was "restored" by a friend of mine about 8-10 years ago and is very complete and reliable. The paint was aparrently done in a barn and isn't as good as it looks in the photos. There are some runs and rough spots etc.it is OK but certainly not high quality. The truck looks good from 10 feet and is great as is for an occasional driver or is a great candidate for a restoration project. The original bench seat has been replaced at some point with buckets that appear to be from a Mustang or something similar, and the carpet is not original but looks good. There is a crack down the center of the dash as shown in the photo. I have a new dash cover and armrests that go with the truck but I have decided not to install them because my idea of repairs might be butchery to someone else, so I left it alone. There is some rust but the body is mostly very solid. There is evidence that the cab corners have been replaced and the bed floor has been patched but the repairs are solid. The front edge of the hood has rust, especially on the right front corner, that has been repaired but it wasn't done right and has come back in a bad way. Also, the middle cab supports are rusted badly underneath and for some reason weren't repaired. I have included photos of both areas. I have no information about the original owners or anything, but the most recent owner is a friend of mine who had let it sit under a carport on his farm for several years after he started having fuel system problems (I repaired when I got it, explained above). I cannot guarantee anything but personally would not hesitate to drive this truck a few hundred miles. The truck is advertised for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early in case of a local sale. Thanks for looking.
