Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is our 1971 Pontiac Le Mans 2 door hard top. We are the second owner of this vehicle and has served its purpose as our daily driver. We would like to sell our Le Mans to fund existing projects around the home. This car is in very great shape for being almost 40 yrs old. This car runs and drives great. Its registered and has a clean California title in hand. We would like our car to go to a good home as we have grown quite fond of her. Please see all details about her below. Body Body has had one re-paint in 40 yrs. Has been painted the original color that it had from the factory. Body is in very good shape with hardly any digs or dents but has surface rust on hood and a little on the trunk from sitting underneath a tree for many years before we purchased. Inside trunk there is surface rust only, no rot or holes. All original chrome moldings are there and in great shape. Bumpers front and rear are in good shape with very little wear. All original glass is in wonderful condition with no cracks. Drivers side windshield has (1) very tiny pit, size of a pencil led point. Other than that all other glass is in perfect shape. Grille and nose cone are in excellent shape with no cracks or breaks. Head light trim rings are also in excellent condition and also all original. Lower valance has one running light missing and could use some minor work. All door handles and door handle locks work as they should. Trunk is missing the lock cylinder. (We use a screw drive to open it.) ? Motor All original Pontiac 350 2 barrel with A/C. A/C works and blows cold but could use a new charge and a R34 conversion. All motor accessories are original to car. Only thing changed has been fuel pump and coil (Still have original parts if buying party would like them). Motor runs great, does not smoke, knock, or burn oil. Car starts right up, with the pump of the gas and a turn of the key. Transmission All original turbo 350 shifts and operates like it was made to do. Interior All original interior is excellent especially for being 40 yrs old! Seats have only tears on the drivers side (see picture). Carpet, headliner, door panels front\rear all in excellent condition. Seat belts are also all original and all there. Mirrors such as rearview and vanity mirrors are also original including sun visers all in great shape. Rear speaker deck is missing the finish panel but has never had any alterations to metal where speakers original would sit. Dash all original and in great shape, gas gauge, speedo, dome light, driver's door buzzer, and cigeratte lighter all work. In dash clock is stuck on 3pm. Radio works but needs new speakers (Speakers were removed due to sun damage). Dash cover has small crack (3" in length on passenger side) but can easliy be repaired. Glove compartment in great shape with no damage. Steering wheel has cracks from being used for 40yrs but still works correctly. Horn does not work. Things our Le Mans could use help on... Pin size hole in radiator (Have to add a gallon of water every 3 days) Panel below rear window has minor rust (We put foil tape over effected area) Please remember this is a 40yr old car that has been driven for 37 of those yrs. This would make a perfect GTO clone or a really nice hot rod. We are honest sellers and expect the same from anyone bidding on her. Please see our feedback, we have sold items on Ebay and like to list the facts of each item to the best of our ability. We are very realistic people and have done our homework to the worth of this car. Our reserve is set for people who bid to own this car. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact us at 916.410.4673. Good Luck Bidding. On Oct-31-10 at 12:33:55 PDT, seller added the following information: We have had alot of calls on the reserve price and have decided to post the reserve. We feel that 2225.00 is a more than fair price for this classic car.
