Vehicle Detail
Big Red is for Sale. Truck bed was smashed by a tree so it has been replaced with a Douglas Fir Flat Bed. I replaced the carburetor and she purrs like a kitten. It has a four speed and a 351M big block with about 25K miles on it. Ford set this up for max fuel economy in 1977 and it gets an incredible up to 17MPG. It has the full floater Super Duty axel in the Rear, and the nearly indestructible dual I-beam in the front. It has a fresh oil change, grease in all the zerks, new wipers, and a brake fluid flush. The seat has new"ish" upholstery, and the master cylinder is a new-rebuild. The floors have steel patches welded in. It runs drives and stops and shifts gear without grinding. I suspect the clutch is slipping when I punch-it but it still drives just fine. Remember this is an old truck and there are a lot of little things that I can't even hope to list. For example, the radio works but there is something wrong with the speaker, the ash tray is missing, there is a small dent in the driver's door, etc etc. All I guarantee is that it run, drives, and stops. Hop in and drive it home. It has current tabs good brakes, good clutch, and a nice engine. Did I mention that it runs great? On Nov-03-10 at 20:53:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I was out driving the truck today and the starter is weak after the truck is driven around. Or when warm. Then it's fine once the truck cools down. Better figure on replacing a starter at some point.
