Greetings! My loss is your gain! *** NO RESERVE - PRICED FOR QUICK SALE - BUY-IT-NOW ALMOST $3,000 BELOW KELLY BLUE BOOK VALUE *** I am selling this, my 2009 Honda Civic which (except for a few trips and light travel) has sat in my garage since I purchased it brand new last August. I am finding because we are now "going green" and live in the city that my wife and I walk and take public transportation and it just does not make sense now to have two cars. Honda Civic Sedan is the rock-solid, gold standard of sensible, economical commuter vehicle - you'd think that would mean "cramped" and "boring" too, but that is most definitely not the case. At 6 feet and 240# I was amazed when I first sat down in the drivers seat. As a long-time ford truck owner it is a rare small car that I feel comfortable in. Honda engineers have managed to pack a mid-sze interior into a sub-compact frame. I have headroom, legroom, and find the car very comfortable. Likewise the car is simply fun to drive - it's quick, nimble, passes agressively, and is somewhat sporty. I understand they are quite rare in this color and trim. According to Honda, the "S" stands for "Sport", but what I understand is what that translates to in honda-speak is: a slightly upgraded suspension (I think), very attractive 16" 5-Star Alloy Wheels Honda mud guards/fender flares and "spoiler strip" add a finished appearance a nifty chrome exhaust outlet that makes the engine sound "throaty" a very unique (for Honda) black cloth interior package (kinda like velvet/velour twin front "sport seats" with a very nice feel to them DO NOT COMPARE THIS TO CIVIC LX. THIS IS THE LX-S MODEL. The LX-S black interior is most sought after because (IMO) it feels much more "upscale" than Honda's stock grey interior. The exterior color is what Honda calles "Urban Titanium Metallic" and this (along with the Black interior) is part of what I believe makes this a very special vehicle. It is an unusual and eye-catching color combination - gray with flecks of gold - and the color of the vehicle seems to change depending on the sunlight. Professional, aftermarket Window Tinting (street legal) makes this vehicle much cooler in the summer and "completes" the beautiful curb appeal of this color combination. GPS INCLUDED: The car includes Garmin's top-of-the-line aftermarket TALKING/VOICE RESPONSIVE mapping GPS unit, fitted very cleverly into a dashboard mount - so the cords are largely concealed and out of the way. This unit cost nearly $700 new and (as an added bonus) includes GPS chip and map data for Great Britain and the Major European Cities (a $200 value). This was an absolute godsend on my trip to Europe earlier this summer (no we did not take the car - the GPS detaches and goes in your luggage ... ) CONDITION: ALWAYS garage kept. ALWAYS synthetic oil. Although NOT "showroom new" this car still has the "new car smell". Although I cannot say it is "BRAND NEW" I feel very comfortable saying it is 99.5%! It has been driven on the highway and in the city, so I walked around it carefully looking to see what damage has accumulated. I found three locations worth mentioning. There is a 1 1/2" long rub in the paint (not a scratch or gouge, but an abraded section, narrower than a dime) on the extreme RIGHT (not left) front corner of the bumper. This is a plastic trim piece and the paint is very thin. The scratch is PAINT ONLY and I have fixed it with a touch up kit. See attached pictured. There is a slight (2 1/2") abrasion of the paint on the extreme RIGHT REAR bumper. On close inspection I can see this was cause by our (plastic) recycle bin being taken out of the garage along that side. Oops! Again, this is a plastic trim piece and the paint is very thin. The scratch is PAINT ONLY and I have fixed it with a touch up kit. See picture. There are some very minor nicks in the paint on the rear bumper. See picture. Aside form that, this car is PRISTINE and LIKE NEW exactly like the day it came off the factory assembly line. I am the only person who has ever driven it and I know for a fact it has never been wrecked, damaged, or abused. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THOSE USED RENTAL CARS OR ONE OF THE "QUESTIONABLE TITLE" CARS LISTED ON EBAY!!!! (I am sensitive to this - I once bought a used rental car because I thought I was getting a "deal" and it was the worst mistake of my life.) The balance to be due via cashiers or certified bank draft within seven days of auction close. Vehicle and signed title will change hands on receipt of final payment.
