MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. I PAID $3000 FOR THIS MERC, BEFORE I STARTED REBUILDING IT. A Rare 1954 Mercury Monterey two door hardtop project. Body completely rebuilt and primed. V8 256, automatic transmission. Has original power steering, power brakes and two way power seat. Engine was removed, de-greased, primed with high temp primer and reinstalled. Engine has new plugs, points, condenser, wires, hoses and belts. Vehicle is not street ready, but Engine starts, idles and does not smoke. Has new brake shoes and wheel cylinders. Merc is ready to put back together. I have all parts and all glass, except front windshield (which was cracked). Rear window is like new. Most molding can be used by polishing(stainless). Bumpers will have to be re-chromed. Seats and door panels are included. Do not have time or money to finish project. Vehicle is stock, so can be finished as stock or custom. I have included two photos to show how vehicle could be finished. To answer numerous questions, this vehicle was completely intact and running when I started the project a year ago. It had the normal rust in floor panels, rocker and wheel well panels and a cracked front windshield. I have replaced all metal panels(welded in) and made small body repairs. it has been primed inside and out and ready for painting and reassemble. I will assist in loading.
