This is a LEFT hand drive mini with factory A/C and a factory type trailer hitch. It has all the markings of a Cooper S but it is only a reproduction by vin#. It has twin gas filler caps but only one tank on the left side of the trunk- the right side filler cap is a fake. The car was originally custom built by Chamberlain whom I have been told was a Japanese mini custom shop but I have never been able to confirm that claim. The body is great without any parking dings. The trailer hitch was installed by a professional shop in New Zealand. The interior is great- to include the wood dash. All gauges and switches work. The odometer is in kilometers. Air conditioning blows cold. Coordinated (non-smoker) black interior is great. The windows are “windup” and not the old sliding windows. The carpeting is in great condition with new floor mats. The trunk contains a keyed cutoff switch to save the new battery while in storage and prevents theft. Alpine under dash XM/CD player is also included with the installed rear speakers. The sound system sounds great. It has a strong running 1275cc engine with a four speed transmission. The speedo reads in Km but converts to about 13,000 miles. It starts right up instantly. The roof has a couple of scuff marks from kayaks. The dash has the mild blemishes of a 20+ year old car. It comes with the requisite in depth shop repair manual, tool kit, gas can, jack and good spare in the trunk. The trailer comes with a bill of sale- it has never been licensed by me. I bought and drove the car in New Zealand for a kayaking trip. I imported it myself and discovered what a real hassle it is to import a mini. It is now fully titled and licensed in Nevada. The car gets attention every where it goes. People ask to have their picture taken with it all the time. I am restoring a mini pickup truck and need to trim the heard of minis in the storage unit.
