1964 Mercedes-Benz 230sl Roadster Both factory tops. Very good black soft top and excellent original soft top frame and excellent factory Hard Top in excellent condition with good glass and good headliner. 4 speed transmission, with good strong clutch and shifts easily. Power Steering. Power Disc Brakes. Recent service, tune up, brake service, oil change, etc by Benz certified mechanic who will discuss this car with you. Motor sounds great, no oil leaks, does not smoke, starts easy, and runs excellent. Engine compartment is clean, with Vin easily seen and read. Chassis, and motor numbers all clearly marked and easy to read . Clutch is good and transmission shifts well. Brakes (disc front, drum rear), emergency brake, front end, suspension, electrical system all functioning properly. Instruments, gauges, speedometer and odometer are all working properly except gas gauge. Dash is beautiful, with excellent solid original wood and very nice original steering wheel. The factory original radio work great too with new antennae. The interior is in remarkably good original condition Window glass is excellent, no discoloration, and the windows open and close properly. Doors, trunk and hood open and close well and are very solid. Bumpers, chrome, trim are all solid and look very good. This is a very nice driver, makes a nice appearance.......Drivers side floors have been repaired and are not original and should be replaced. Trunk floor is solid original. Body appears very solid. Paint is old but this 230SL makes nice appearance . This series of SL Roadsters are becoming scarce in the US as most end up being exported. Only 6,000 were made that year. This 1964 Mercedes-Benz 230SL is just out of storage and is offered for the first time and is reasonably priced..... I can arrange delivery anywhere in US or World Wide. !
