This bike is a great cruiser, it's low center of gravity makes it easy to ride even for a short person (I'm only 5'8" and have no problem controlling it). VL1500 Intruder LC To many riders, the long, low, massive cruiser style is what motorcycling is all about. The VL1500 Intruder LC successfully blends all of these elements with modern technology and reliability at an affordable price. The VL1500 air/oil cooled engine is tuned to produce peak torque at just 2300 rpm and geared to turn a leisurely 2700 rpm at 65 mph. The engine is based around the same crankcase and 5-speed shaft drive system as the legendary VS1400, but with many additional features that enhance reliability and simplify service, such as plated cylinders and hydraulic valve lash adjusters. The Intruder 1500 has a low 27.6 inch seat height with wide, comfortable seats. Placement of the handlebars and controls was carefully thought out for maximum comfort. Even the front brake lever and clutch lever can be adjusted to suit the rider's preference. The double cradle steel frame is made of large diameter, thin-walled tubing for maximum strength and minimal weight, and is supported by 41mm front forks and a preload adjustable single-shock rear suspension for a comfortable ride. The whole package rolls on wide tires mounted on custom-styled cast aluminum wheels with front and rear disc brakes.
