1997 Dodge Ram 1500 189000 Miles Engine runs great. Truck has power mirrors, cruise control, power locks, power windows, and vanity lights with info screen. All factory installed options work (4X4, locks, windows, AC, etc...) Truck is equipped with a towing package and brake controller (I have never used the brake controller so I don't know if it works.) The tires were replaced summer of last year, the front ones are still like new and the back ones are a little worn, a photo of both is shown. Front and rear differential fluid as well as transfer case fluid was recently replaced. Truck is Inspected untill 4/11 There are a ton of newly replaced parts, they are listed below.... PARTS REPLACED WITHIN THE LAST 2 YEARS... A/C Compressor Radiator Idler Pulley Tensioner Pulley Battery (Still Under Warranty) Front Anti Sway Bar End Bushings Front Brake Lines Reaplaced with Aftermarket Stainless Steel Braided Lines New Shocks all the way Around Both Rear Wheel Cylinders 4 New Tires Spark Plugs Wires PCV Valve Both Driver And Passanger Side Power Mirrors Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror Front Lower Ball Joints Probably more things I cant think of at the moment..... THE TRANSMISSION ON THIS TRUCK JUST DIED ON ME TODAY WHILE I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK. On Oct-17-10 at 06:21:43 PDT, seller added the following information: ALSO THE EXHAUST Y PIPE AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER WERE REPLACED THERE IS A BIT OF AN EXHAUST LEAK WHERE THE LEAD GASKETS ARE AT THE TOP OF THE Y PIPE NOT A BIG DEAL TO ME AS IT PASSED INSPECTION AND ITS QUIET YOU JUST HEAR A TICKING SOUND ON LIGHT ACCELERATION ALSO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY COMES ON I HAD IT SCANNED AND IT SAID IT WAS ONE OF THE 02 SENSORS I ALREADY HAD THEM BOTH REPLACED WITH THE NEW CAT SO MAYBE ONE OF THEM IS INTERMITTENTLY SENDING BACK A HIGH OR LOW SIGNAL AGAIN NO BIG DEAL THEY HAVE THEM AT AUTOZONE IT DID NOT AFFECT PERFORMANCE SO I HAVENT CHANGED IT AND ALSO SOMETIMES THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON THE ABS WORKS FINE AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM SO IM NOT SURE WHATS TRIGGERING THAT AND AGAIN ITS NOT ALWAYS ON. The rear differential is actually what went which is a MUCH cheaper fix! In fact the transmission only has about 40k on it I had it rebuilt at Cottman Transmission at 151K for about $2500 I still have the paperwork to prove this. This is great news for anyone seriously interested in this truck! Now I'm on the fence as to weather or not I really want to sell it, well see how high the auction goes.....On Oct-18-10 at 16:07:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I just got a quote from a place down the street from me and they said they can put a good used rear end in for about $850 parts and labor, if this is something you might be interested in just let me know and ill try to assist in any way I can, maybe you can drive this home instead of towing it. :-)
