Hi up for bid 1978 Honda XR75.I am a forty five year old lifelong (since age 5) motocross rider who is thinning out a lifelong collection of bikes as per my other auctions this is a bike i have owned for 25 years it was given to me by a fella on my first construction job as a kid in Washington D.C. it had locked up. The bike looked new at the time save for a cracked fender in the front and bent bars.The bike traveled with me for years after that.Then one day i pick up another old xr75 1977 and interest in this bike ramps up i swapped another engine into it and had what is a beautiful xr75 the grommets and seals and hubs and the like are in great condition.The bike has some trick items like aluminum motor mounts (expensive and trick)and a custom made frame coupler that dumps the skid plate and gives the bike that Marty Smith works bike look.brand new factory tires and many nos parts it runs like a dream and needs nothing.JT racing numberplate preston petty mini mudder fender and CR80 shocks give it the works look.These bikes have become collectors items and the two that i have spent there lives on display and i can tell you they get alot of attention.That said i would like to say the pictures make this bike show very well almost like they are pebble beach resto's and that would be a misrepresentation it is not a showroom perfect motorcycle and if you would like a example of what i mean look up xr mini racer on Google and you will see the bikes that Alex Judd builds are works of art and belong in the Smithsonian american history display of the 1970:s...but obviously you would not ride one of these masterpieces my bike is a stunning original that is very clean a few dimples on the tank but orig decals and i did touch the tank up with Thatian red applied with an air brush heck the bike even has the original seat cover with a few small repairs i just could't bring myself to replace it everything is just that good.I have the orig engine frt numberplate shocks and other tidbits that go with the bike to make it a super easy oem style resto if you desire i just like the 70 retro racer look because i lived the era!!good luck No RESERVE BID TO OWN THIS BIKE IS WORTHY!!! I am a bike fanatic i own fifteen motorcycles they are my babies and i spare no expense in making what i want...If i were keeping the bike the only two things i would do is buy a nos seat or a new one and maybe nos wheels ie just spokes and rims they aren't bad just not show quality the hubs are perfect not a scratch the frame and forks and switches all perfect again no reserve good luck i am a good guy honest and easy to deal with so please i ask the same please have the money to pay and do it in a reasonable amount of time ....Happy bidding winning bidder picks up at my home Annapolis Md 21409 noooooo reeeesseeerve!!
