This Auction Ends Tuesday, October 19, 2010 @ 12:00PM - California Time I am a Golden Gate Region PCA Member and this is my 2nd Porsche. My first is a 1987 Porsche 944 that I bought Jan of 99. I bought this 1994 Porsche 968 Cab on May 16, 2003, and have loved it since day one!!!! It is a FUN, FANTASTIC and RELIABLE Porsche to own, love and drive. When I purchased this Porsche, it was obviously well loved and taken care of by the prior Dr. who owned it. He gave me ALL of the service records for the car since it was BRAND NEW. Believe me when I tell you, it is nearly impossible to find a well kept Porsche that REALLY does have ALL of it's service history! This Porsche has been maintained throughout my entire stewardship by Bauer Porsche Repair in Oakland, CA. Feel free to call them if you have any questions regarding this car. Their phone # is 510.834.2772 and you can speak to Chris, the owner, or Brian, his son and Service Manager. Please, if you are taking the time to call them, be SERIOUS and not waste their time. They are awesome people and have done a superb job of maintaining my cars. I began working with them in Jan 1999 when I bought my first Porsche, the 944. Since they also race 944's, I figured them a good choice for service, and I have NEVER regretted that decision. I have checked out dozens of 944/928/968 cars over the years, and have found one dissappointing commonality. When I go for a test drive, get in, and turn the key, i get "CLICK". And that's it :-( The 28's, 44's & 68's are prone to electrical gremlins that cause the battery to run dry and not start. NOT WITH MY CARS!!!!! I do not have issues other than routine maintenance and service with my Porsches... and I owe this to Bauer, Chris and Brian. While I see my friends tweeking and tinkering with their Porsches to keep them running, I NEVER have problems.... I just drive and ENJOY!!! So, bottom line... this car has had it's service all up to date and is very well maintained. It runs excellent and is equally RELIABLE. I would not hesitate to jump in right now and drive the 968 across the country. You will love this Porsche - Period! OK, again, I have ALL records, I will be pdf'ing them, so email me for a copy. I also had the car inspected by the Independant Ebay Auto Inspectors, SGS and their report is here >>>>>> http://www.sgsauto.com/ocr/onlinecr.aspx?link=XWaFOVWYLYVSPDaUPIJR&DOC=CR&LANG=EN&MID=84368 <<<<<< Please read and review the above report. The inspecctor did an excellent job of outlining every minor defect of this fine Porsche for your benefit. Please review the report and ask me any questions before making your bid. That all said, this 1994 Porsche is NOT NEW and does have a couple needs. I want to point out a couple items that you will see photographed and outlined in the SGS report. First, there is a cracking and slit on the top right seam where the plastic window meets the canvas top that should be addressed sometime. I rarely ever drive it with the top up... much less in the rain, so it hasn't been an issue for me. But if you want the Porsche near perfect or want to drive in the rain, you will want to put on a new top. Otherwise, the power top is working properly, otherwise waterproof and holds no other problems. The headliner is in fine shape as well. Look for the link to my picturetrail account for tons more photos that I should have up by Friday at the latest. Second, there is also some wheel curb rash that you will see in the photos. What can I say, I live in the Beautiful City of San Francisco, with steep hills and parallel parking... missed the damn curb a couple times. Such is life. I drive the car and enjoy the hell out of it. If you want a perfect car, there are places that will refinish the wheels :-) Those are the 2 worst things about the car that you will see along with each and every minor little nick. I think the inspector did an outstanding job for you to get a clear picture of the Porsche you are buying!!! The Title to the Porsche is clean. I have the title in hand. You will notice that I have registered the Porsche in Montana to my LLC about 2 years ago now. This has offered me some advantages of perminant registration (no annual fees) and lower insurance. If you are in CA, there has been no problems for smog. It has passed several times in the past without any issue. The initial photos I took, unfortunately, the time and weather conditions were bad, so the photos came out with poor quality. I have already taken about 150 more, and better, clearer photos and put them on my picturetrail account. HERE IS THE URL TO MY PICTURETRAIL ACCOUNT WITH AROUND 150 MORE PHOTOS OF THE PORSCHE 968 CABRIOLET: >>>> www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/23502542 <<< Once you see the additional photos, you will just totaly imagine yourself cruising up some twisty roads with the top down... shifting the 6 speed manual of the powerful 3 litre engine... and place your best bid! I have a very large pdf file with ALL of the SERVICE RECORDS for the Porsche 968 and they are available for email to you. To receive your copy, call me at 415 648 3333 and leave your email address twice and please speak slowly. Ot text your email address to my phone with the request. Also leave your phone number in case I still don't get it. I will gladly email you the pdf service records. I encourage you to not wait til the last minute if you have any questions and/or would like a copy of the ENTIRE SERVICE HISTORY PDF. If you are coming to San Francisco to pick up the Porsche and Road Trip home, no problem! I can pick you up at the airport. I live 10 minutes drive. If you are shipping, you will be responsible for making arrangements. I will be willing to drop the Porsche off in San Francisco or Oakland at no additional charge. This Auction Ends Tuesday, October 19, 2010 @ 12:00PM - California Time If you have any questions, call, email, or better yet, TEXT ME at 415 648 3333. I'll be happy to answer any questions. Thank you kindly for your interest in this great, classic, Red 1994 Porsche 968 Cabriolet! Rick Bowles, 415 648 3333 This Auction Ends Tuesday, October 19, 2010 @ 12:00PM - California Time
