Vehicle Detail
This auction is for my 1996 Toyota Tercel. It has been my reliable commuter car for several years, and at a low 109,000 miles should be for years to come. I have had the car serviced (oil change and once over) every 2000-3000 miles at our local shop since I've owned it and otherwise has required no major repairs. It is trusty and reliable, with a 4 cylinder engine that gives it a surprising amount of power while remaining extremely maneuverable. Manual windows and locks are sturdy and function perfectly. It has a Sony CD player and speakers. It has a stick shift and has front wheel drive which has been very useful in the the snow. I usually get around 35-40 MPG, only stopping for a fill up the comically small 12 gallon gas tank twice a month...which is nice. It has some minor dents and scratches, but no rust or anything. The driver seat is pulling apart at the seams on the back and on the seat, however, the rest of the interior is great. It just passed Pennsylvania inspection/emissions in August which is good for one year, but obviously, it is a 15 year old car and is being sold as is. I'm 5' tall and my husband is 6'2", we can both comfortably drive the car. Although, it IS a short person's dream car. I would keep it forever if I weren't moving to a city where I won't need one. Hopefully it will make someone else as happy as it's made me. Sorry, the toy Yoda on the dash doesn't come with the car (but I recommend getting one for that spot!) ALSO-- There is a Toyota factory service manual that from what I understand cost around a hundred dollars if you can even find one. Its several hundred pages and is printed by toyota for the exclusive use of their dealer technicians. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding and I'll do my best to answer them. ALSO-- I AM ONLY THE SECOND OWNER (the carfax is misleading and indicates four). I lived in NH prior to PA and bought it from the original owner (a friend) who bought in Puerto Rico new and had it shipped to NH when he moved. Apparently any time the car is re-titled carfax thinks its a new owner. Just wanted to clarify the history. On Oct-13-10 at 05:21:43 PDT, seller added the following information: ALSO---to answer some questions---The car does not leak or burn any oil. The oil level does not change during the 2000-3000 mile interval between oil changes. On Oct-13-10 at 05:25:00 PDT, seller added the following information: AND---the dark pavement under the car in the pictures is just water from the car wash in the background (I thought it would be a good idea to clean it prior to photographing it)
