Vehicle Detail
Relisted due to a fake bidder! Seller retains the right to reject bids of those with no feedback or recently registered within the past week. I'm selling Scorpion is light blue (faded, of course!) with an 8 year-old (about 20,000 miles)completely rebuilt 2.0 liter engine (1.8 liter head/2 liter Lancia block. Has 34 DATR Carb that needs rejetting (jets are small). So many itemsn have been replaced over the years (clutch and cylinder, brake calipers and MC, engine mounts, suspension bushings from MOnte Hospital, too much to mentionbut have all receipts for work . Interior was redone in Maserati-style light brown vinyl (dash, door panels, console, sides of seats, and rear panel), with brown cloth seats. There is fading ocurring on the dashboard, but it isnt hideous. Some glass has gotten hazy from sitting from the sun when I was in the desert areas north of LA, but may be able to be polished out. Regarless, the glass also needs to be resealed. Windshield has the typical J crack. Convertible top was also redone and is in excellent condition. Marelli Electronic ignition, replaced starter, replaced fule pump, valve adjustment, Magnecor 8.5mm wires. Needs cosmetic work here and there, could use a paint job. Only rust is around the front trunk grills (common), and a few small bubbles by a fender wheel, which is definitley fixable!! Nothing structural. Small dent on lower drivers door thatis easily fixable. Make no mistake...the car is FAR from show condition will require a paint job. The images make the care look better then it is (depsite my efforts!). However, it is NOT a junker or clunker. The major issue is that it needs smog gear...you'll have to track it down or borrow some from another owner for emissions (EGR, air pump, standard carb),. Not a problem if you're in a smog-exempt state, or can get it smogged without visual inspection. Car is not registered, but I will pay all back registration fees. I recently had it serviced and checked by an Italian car shop in Northridge, CA, and tuned-up. Starts and runs. However, it stumbles on throttle due to old fuel in the tank (which I'm slowly using up). The coolant was changed but car still runs a little warm so I'd reccomend the radiator be cleaned. The standard Fiat/Lancia carb will solve this problem What you have here is an excellent core Scorpion that is ready for you to restore. The price accounts for the lack of smog gear and numerous cosmetic items. I'm being overly cautious in its description, which you'll realize if you stop by and check out the car.
