1979 Volkswagen Westfalia bus in amazing original condition. Odometer shows 34,819 miles and this is believed to be the original mileage. Unfortunately I do not have any previous paperwork to prove this statement but looking at the condition of the tell tale signs it appears to be the original mileage. This is an amazing California survivor camper. Very solid and straight body with no signs of any metal replacement or ever any accidents. The nose of the bus was repainted at one point by the previous owner as it had the spare tire mounted on the nose which they did not want. The spare tire carrier was removed, holes filled, and the nose was repainted very well...You would not notice if I did not mention it to you. All other paint is original and all paint is in excellent condition. This bus shines and looks great. The interior is 100% original to the bus and is in immaculate condition. All camping equipment functions just as the day it left the factory: Stove, sink/water faucet, and the fridge all function flawlessly. Poptop canvas is original and in excellent condition. All cabinets and upholstery are in amazing original condition. Original front seats are beautiful and are in the kind of condition you would expect to see with 35k original miles. Mechanically this bus is in perfect working condition. Everything functions as it should: Lights, gauges, accessory VDO clock, interior lights, tape deck, wipers, turn signals, reverse lights, etc. All doors, gas cap, and decklid lock up as they should. All doors open and close extremely well and have nice gaps. All glass is in very good condition and all windows function properly. The engine is the 2.0 liter hydraulic lifter engine and runs excellent with no known leaks and does not smoke. Tires are in fairly new condition. Spare tire is an original Continental with sticker still attached. Original dry California climate native bus with no rust. Runs and drives amazing and is definitely a rare find. Low mileage campers like this do not exist and you may not see another with this kind of mileage ever come up for sale again. I believe this to be the nicest original 1979 available for public sale. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this bus anywhere.
