Vehicle Detail
Let's try this auction again. You got very close last time to my reserve. 17,777 miles since a full body-off restoration. In 1988 I bought this car in Sonoma County, California to take friends wine tasting. It was pretty ugly and the intent was that if I drove it into a ditch, oh well. It quickly became a project car and after tens of thousands of dollars here it is. The engine has less than 2,000 miles and was professionally built by Steve Sands of Pro-Flow Performance in Hiram, Georgia. Driving this car in the Southeast I purposely kept the compression ratio low but the torque of this combination is pretty awesome. I’ve got a lot of blood, sweat and tears wrapped up in this and I hate to sell it but my divorce attorneys tell me otherwise. Even though I must sell it I do not have to give it away. Please be sure to read the “Full Disclosure” section of this ad. They took care not to scratch the dash but the fools took a box cutter and sliced the seat. You can see this in one of the pictures. I have some extra material and I’ve been told that it can be fixed. The pan was rusted through when I bought the car and was replaced. As a result the VIN on the pan does not match the body but I have a clean title. The transmission was supposed to have close ratio 1st, 2nd and 3rd with 4th as the normal overdrive. Without close supervision they made all gears close and that is why it’s so quick. Long term it needs a 5th gear added for long distance cruising. If you’re into 1/8th mile or stoplight racing it’s perfect. The engine has an oil leak around the Gen Berg oil pump. I have not had time to pull the engine and fix it. I had planned on having the new exhaust system sent in for silver heat coating but never got around to it. Front clip was replaced with a virgin nose that had never been in an accident. The rear clip was also replaced from a 1994. Due to the size of the engine there were no heat exchangers available for the 2” headers and as a result there is no heater.
