Many more pictures can be seen on Flickr. Important:The hard top is NOT included in this auction. It is for sale in a separate auction of mine that ends a few hours after this one, so check out my other auctions (at http://motors.shop.ebay.com/r0llisl1fe/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25). It is painted to match this car in Twilight Blue. This color was only used on the '97 STO (this car) and the '99 and '00 LE. If the same buyer wins both auctions, the top will be delivered installed on the car. Also, I am more than happy to answer questions, but please check this description first to make sure your question isn't already answered. You are bidding on a 1997 Mazda Miata MX-5 STO (Special Touring Option) with 92,676 miles at listing. My father was the second owner, and I am the third. He took especially good care of it and never missed an oil change. We've owned a total of three Miatae in the family and loved them all dearly. It's sad to see this one go, but I have to stop pretending I can't get everywhere I need to on a bike. Records: I have a binder full of complete records for the car from about 48K miles up to 86,100 miles, including gas receipts and average mileage (about 28 mpg, by the way). These are the records my dad kept while he owned the car (it was transferred to me at around 89K). The winner gets the binder. These include CARFAX and other reports run when the car was purchased by my dad. According to the CARFAX, aside from dealers, my dad was the second owner, and the car was purchased and driven exclusively in Florida up until then, was never stolen, never had water damage, and otherwise came up clean. The records also include a listing of work and modifications done on the car while my dad owned it, I'll put that list at the bottom of this description. I'll throw all that in. Known issues:-Two very small holes in the vinyl top on the drivers side. I've never noticed leaking through them, even driving or idling in heavy, heavy downpours.-A few minor blemishes and scrapes here and there. Chip on right rear fender, chip on rear bumper, light scrape on left front fender, and some minor scuffs on the left side of the hood (this one isn't pictured…it's so light it didn't photograph). Terms for Bidders:-Serious bidders only. If you bid, you must be able to pay a $1000 deposit within 48 hours from auction close, and the remaining balance within six days of auction close.-Cash is preferred for balance payment. If you pay with money order, personal check, certified check, or cashier's check, I will wait until payment clears to sign the title and deliver the vehicle.-If you decide to ship, arranging shipment is entirely your responsibility. I am happy to meet a truck anywhere within five miles of 60640. Uncertain? Ask me.-The car is sold AS-IS, with no warranty of any kind, expressly stated or implied. I have done my best to accurately describe the vehicle, features, and issues, but I may have inadvertently missed some details. If you have questions or want to come check out the car yourself during the auction period, please let me know. Any inspections are at your own expense and must be completed before auction end.-I reserve the right to end the auction early, as both the car and top are listed locally as well.
