. The 282 pounds CL-160 was introduced to America in 1966, and was built for only two model years. Then evolved into the CL-175 All the original1966 CL-160's had black frames with silver gas tanks, fenders, fork tubes and side covers. There was a skid plate underneath the engine that blocked the access for an electric starter, so all 1966 models had kick-starters only. I had purchased this bike in 1999, used it that summer. It was a nice running bike but the pervior owner had painted it forest green. So the bike was completed stripped down of all parts painted with Silver base coat- clear PPG paint then all parts cleaned and new parts as needed. Like the back tires, tank emblems, chain sprockets and that’s about it. The chrome is very nice I finish the bike in 2000 and just had it on display at my shop. Never fired it up until this October. To my surprise put a battery and some gas in it, two kicks and it started after almost ten years. It also has the luggage rack that still looks new. Bike must not have spent much time out side. I have several Hondas in my collection and this is one of the nicest, just making room for another project. The only non-original parts that I see are the mirrors, seat cover, and tank emblems. What it will need in the future is the carbs rebuilt or cleaned. Bike runs good but the carbs leaks when not in use .It a needle and seat issue I sure and it may be ok after some use but just though I should mention it. I do have a box of extra parts that will go with the bike. It has the original owner manual and tools plus a new battery. This is a super nice bike! Any questions please e-mail me.
