Vehicle Detail

Asume 1977 Toyoda FJ40, Tons of time and money have been put into this restoration!!! I have been restoring this FJ40 for 3 months now. I have put allot of time and energy into this truck. I think it looks great and would make a good off road rig or daily driver. It has a new paint Job, 4 inch lift. It has warn hubs, and after market gages for the oil and temp and altenater. It has a holly carb, and a header coming off the motor for the exhaust . it also has a faily new muffler. It has disk breaks in the front and the four speed tranny. It has a full roll cage, comes with the rear doors (not installed) and a nice rear seat, and a bikini top. Has the stock 6 cyclinder motor, these motors are like a tracktor motor they run for ever. Their is a reason they can drove accrost Aftrica. It starts eaily and stops good, shifts through all the gears smooth. This needs a few minor things but the major work is done, with a little tinkering this can be your dream FJ. Like they say you can buy a jeep and spend 50 thousand building it, or you can buy a Toyoda Land cruizer and just drive it. When I got the Cruzier it had allot of rust in the wheel wells and under the doors. I cut and ground out all the major rust and treated the Metal with POR 15 ( if you are not familiar with this product look it up at www.por15.com ) This product is expensive but worth it. any where you put it, will never rust again. I then used fiberglass on the front of the FJ 40 only a few spots on the fenders. and in the rear I used diamond plate and panel bonder on the sides and inside on the fenderwells. I think it looks great and it will not rust out. The rear floor was good exept for the very back and a metal replacement peice was welded in ( See pictures) I think it turned out great. The paint is oil based it is also stops rust. I have used it on several 4x4s and like it because it is tough and it looks better than a bed liner looks. It looks great from ten feet good from five, and ok from closer. I want to be carful to let bidders know this is not a show quality paint job it was meant for a driver and the hills. I think it looks good but you will not be happy if you are looking for a really nice paint job. Look at all the pictures close and ask as many questions as you like. Things it needs!! It needs the carb tuned it runs rich and has a dead spot when you giving it gas. This is common for the Holly carbs and most likely needs the power valve in the carb replaced it is a easy cheap fix. I how ever would put a edelbrock carb on it they are easy to tune and run better on inclines than the hollys. would be about 200.00 to 250.00 at Auto Zone. Also the FJ needs the drivers seat redone. it needs some foam work on the bottom seat and covered. Also the blinkers need some work may just be a bulb as they worked when I bought it. Other than that it would be stuff you wanted to do to make it yours. Thanks so much for looking and ask any questions. I feel this cruzier could be worth allot of money with a little more TLC. Good luck and happy bidding. No reserve so winner takes this home !!!!!!!!
