Click here to get eBay templates at Auctiva.com You are bidding on a unique PROJECT car for restoration or parts. This is a non-running car that has been stored inside since 1986. The original engine and transmission have been removed and a Ford 460 interceptor engine with a C6 transmission has been installed. The engine ran when I put it in the car, but that was 20 years ago, but it still turns over. The body and chrome are in very good condition and I have most of the original dash components and instruments. Seats are good condition with no split seams. Major items yet to complete are: wiring, shifting linkage, exhaust system (header need to be modified to clear the steering column), steering, brakes and installation of dashboard and instruments and most other interior fittings and fixtures. Parts included but not shown in the photographs are: front bumper, left headlight and air duct trim, left parking light, wood finishers, center console and padded dash. The grille which is shown in some of the pictures is included. If you are interested in restoring it to its original condition, I still have the original engine block (one sleeve missing) and transmission along with several bolt-on components (see photographs). I do not have the original heads and all the pistons and connecting rods. History: The car was purchased in by me in 1986 with the intent to restore it. When I bought the car it had suffered an extensive engine fire while in the repair shop for an engine overhaul. However, the fire did destroy the under-hood wiring and most of the under-hood accessories and fixtures. Since the heads were off of the car at the time, some of the bolt-on engine accessories were unharmed. The intense heat from the fire melted some of the under dash wiring and plastic components and charred the front carpets and lower leather panels on the dash... It also scorched the paint on the left front wing and bonnet. The heads were off the car, at the time, as well as some of the bolt on accessories. The good news is all of the fire damaged components have been removed and the body has been professionally repaired and painted. Buyer will be responsible for making pick-up arrangements. Car is not towable and will have to be trailered.
